The “What Ifs,” Boring Formalities, & Other Common Questions

  • Do I need to have equipment for personal training sessions at home?
Not necessarily. If you have equipment at your home, we will use it. If not, our Trainers always bring equipment with them in order to give you a great workout.

  • Do I need to bring equipment with me for personal training sessions at the park?
No. If you have a favourite pair of boxing gloves or a specific mat you prefer, you are welcome to bring these items along with you, but our Trainers will always have equipment with them to ensure that you get a great workout.

  • Do you provide water?
No, but it is important to stay hydrated. Please have a water bottle handy.
  • What should I wear?
If you are training at home, just dress comfortably. If you are training at the park, again, just dress comfortably, but it is a good idea to wear a couple of layers in case you get hot or cold.
  • What happens if it is raining?
If you are training at home, you are in luck! If you are training at the park, assume the session will proceed as scheduled. The MOOSE isn’t scared off by a little drizzle. If the weather is extreme, you will be notified within 2 hours of the scheduled start time. If you are unsure, feel free to call or email.
  • What happens if a session is cancelled due to extreme weather?
You will be refunded the token cost of the session automatically, don’t worry.
  • How can I change into my workout clothing if I am coming straight from work to the park?
The MOOSE recommends you arrive for sessions at the park ready to workout or you can always take advantage of the park facilities.
  • What do I do with my belongings if I come straight from work to a session at the park?
You are welcome to bring your things to the park, but the MOOSE cannot take responsibility for your belongings so it may be a good idea to keep valuables at home. That said, for individual and group sessions at the park, the MOOSE will keep a watchful eye on your belongings. If you are joining the MOOSE for a run, it is best to come empty-handed.
  • What about nutrition?
Exercise is extremely important in achieving your fitness goals; however, proper nutrition cannot be ignored. Our trainers are very knowledgeable in regards to nutrition and would love to help you create a diet plan. Our trainers will keep you accountable with your diet, which will help speed up results.
  • How much do you charge for training?
    Please see our PRICING PLAN.
  • How long do sessions last?
Each session is 50 minutes, which includes a warm-up and cool-down.
  • How far will you travel for personal training sessions at home?
The MOOSE accommodates postcodes within Central London and surrounding boroughs by specific request. Please email info@themoose.uk.com for more information.
  • Where do I meet the MOOSE at the park?
Each park has a designated MEETING POINT (pictured and mapped on the PAYG group classes page) where the trainers will meet clients for both personal and group sessions. Trainers will always be dressed in a uniform that prominently displays the MOOSE logo, so we should be easy to spot once you arrive at the meeting point.
  • What if I cannot find the meeting point?
Please ring 020 8874 7875 for further instructions.
  • What if I would like to attend a group session, but the MOOSE doesn’t offer any at a park near me?
By all means, let us know on info@themoose.uk.com. Our aim is to provide the best customer service possible.
  • I am not fit. Will I cope?
Anybody is eligible to sign up with the MOOSE. It is our job to get you fit at your own pace.
  • I am already fit. Why should I sign up with the MOOSE?
The MOOSE caters to every fitness level, from beginners to athletes. The more fit you are the harder it usually is to get incremental results. A personal trainer can help you get to the next level.
  • What happens if I am running with the MOOSE and can’t carry on?
If you are too fatigued to continue running or get a stitch, you must inform the trainer immediately. The trainer will instruct the other participants how to proceed and will attend to your needs. The group runs are designed to be dynamic, so the trainers can easily adjust the programme to accommodate various levels of fitness.
  • What happens if I am running with the MOOSE and feel sick or hurt myself?
If you feel unwell, you must stop immediately and inform the trainer. All trainers are first aid qualified and fully insured. In the unlikely event of an emergency, the trainer will assess the situation and react accordingly.
  • How quickly will I see results?
Everyone is different so the level of results will vary greatly; however, if you are committed to putting the time and effort in session as well as out of session, you will see positive changes within weeks.
  • I am pregnant. Does the MOOSE offer pre and/or post natal classes?
Yes, our trainers are fully qualified in pre and post natal fitness; however, the MOOSE recommends home personal training for this type of session as you will be more comfortable indoors due to the types of exercises recommended for pregnant women.
  • I have an injury or am recovering from one. Is it okay for me to train with the MOOSE?
If you have suffered a significant injury - either recently or in the past - you will need to speak to our Trainers before attending a class. Depending on the severity of the injury and the extent of your recovery from it, you may need to consult a doctor for a medical clearance form.
  • How old do I need to be to attend classes and personal training sessions?
Participants must be 18 to take part in any of our classes or personal training sessions, however the MOOSE does offer tailored Kids' Packages for one-to-one sessions or Party Packages, ideal entertainment for larger groups of children aged 5 to 15. Email info@themoose.uk.com to request more information.
  • What do I need to know for my first session?
You should make sure you arrive at least 5-10 minutes early, and ideally you will have already completed the Health Questionnaire. Otherwise, you will be asked to do so onsite. This is for your safety - so please be aware that if you have not done this before the class starts, you may not be able to train.
  • Do you operate a waiting list?
The MOOSE operates a waiting list for all of group sessions; if somebody cancels the person at the top of the waiting list will automatically be put in the class. An email will be sent to you informing you, and we will also try to call. Please note that if you are put into the session from the waiting list our cancellation policy still applies.
  • Can I share my tokens?
Tokens are not transferrable, and they cannot be shared. But, please do refer your friends to the MOOSE. A successful referral will earn you 5 free tokens.
  • Can I buy tokens to give as a gift?

You can book your sessions up to 12 months in advance.
  • How long do I have to use up my tokens?
    Tokens expire in 6 months.
  • What if I am running late?
You can join a group session up to 5 minutes after the scheduled start time, ie before the warm-up ends. This is for your safety and the safety of the other participants. If you are running very late or cannot make the session at all, please be considerate and send an email.
